Arizona Science Center Will Come to You
We may have a downtown Phoenix address, but our work extends far beyond Maricopa County. We truly are a statewide resource, providing hands-on STEM education and professional development opportunities to schools across Arizona. Through our mobile programs we bring our most poignant and engaging experiences right to your classroom—whether your school is in Page or Sierra Vista, Navajo Nation or Yuma.

Arizona Science Center Mobile Programs for Students and Teachers
Whether you are a STEM educator in search of unique educational experiences to inspire students or you are looking to expand your approach to teaching STEM—or both!—we’re got the program that will come to you.
Science on Wheels
Enhance your STEM curriculum and reinforce classroom lessons by having Arizona Science Center bring our renowned hands-on experiences to your students. We have 38 programs to choose from—ranging from Awesome Anatomy to Zombie MD—that are suitable for learners in preschool through grade 8.
STEM Extravaganza
During this dual program for K–5 schools in Maricopa County, Arizona Science Center educators spend a full day at your school. We’ll educate and inspire students using hands-on STEM activities while simultaneously providing professional development to teachers looking to enhance their ability to teach STEM concepts in a fun and engaging manner. See how this program benefitted the students and educators at Acacia Elementary School.
Rural Communities Expansion Project
Arizona Science Center educators travel to rural Arizona communities to provide a day-long program that benefits students and teachers alike. While our staff engages students in hands-on STEM lessons designed to inspire, teachers participate in a professional development program that expands their understanding of STEM education principles and offers ideas on how to present STEM concepts in creative and imaginative ways.
The teachers love [the Rural Communities Expansion Project]. As a rural school, without this program, we wouldn't have access to the resources that the Arizona Science Center provides. Additionally, we have a high English Language Learner population, so the more hands-on, visual learning we can do, the better. But these hands-on STEM projects aren't just great for ELL learners. They're effective for all learners.
